Business Communications

Don't you wish that some of your personal communications could be as clear and direct as the ones you have with your business associates? Phone rings. Client says hi. You say hi. Client makes request. You say yes. Client says thanks. You both hang-up and go back to what you were doing before the phone rang. You think nothing of it.

YES! I may be seriously lacking in social graces, but sometimes I DO that. Hi. Hi. Request. Yes. Thanks. Bye. I think nothing of it. Then later I discover that they thought 'Something was wrong.' or 'Are you mad?'
My dad over the weekend said, "She sure is subtle." In regards to such an exchange with my brother. He meant that I wasn't. I say, who has time for subtle, and enough with the sarcasm, already.
